What's the daily turnover on the NYSE?

The New York Stock Exchange is a busy place, trading over a billion shares a day with a total value of about $50 billion. There's a lot of variation, of course.  A slow trading day might only produce $30 billion in trades, while a particularly busy day can easily top $70 billion.
