What is an in-kind match? How do I make one?

An in-kind match is an obligation of some organization that receive a grant from a foundation of government funder.  An in-kind match is a non-cash contribution to a project.  It could be staff or volunteer time, use of facilities or equipment, or other sorts of contributions that are roughly equal to the cash value of the grant.
