How old do I have to be to sign up for Medicare?

65 will do it!

Medicare is available to most Americans at age 65, provided they worked at least ten years in a Medicare-eligible job (in other words, that you paid taxes!). There are some types of Medicare coverage available to younger folks if they have particular disabilities or suffer from certain diseases.
